FK.UK Summer Camp 2009

FK.UK is holding a Summer Camp on the last weekend of August, in Newquay.

It will be a chilled out and fun affair - all FK.UK members and their families welcome.

As a general summary, we plan to have 'welcome drinks' in a beach side, family friendly pub for those arriving on Friday evening. Then couple of coached workshops on Saturday and Sunday mornings for those that are interested (£10 a head). Also a group beach BBQ on Sunday night. Otherwise, plenty of free time for folk to do what they want, in groups and/or with families.

Plenty of things to do locally:

· Surfing
· Coasteering
· Climbing/bouldering
· Kayaking
· Fishing
· Horse riding
· Golf
· Hiking the coast path
· Spa treatments
· Drinking!

And in case of wet weather:

· Most activities above still apply – only too much swell or wind is a problem
· Indoor climbing
· Indoor skate park

And some further options for kids:

· Newquay aquarium
· Waterworld
· Skateboarding
· Surfing/body boarding
· Lusty Glaze adventure activities
· Holywell Bay Fun Park

There is also a Celtic Strongman competition at St Just (near Land’s End) on the Saturday afternoon for those interested in going to check it out.
